Water Bottle Sticker Printing Machine – RK FMS-Nice-P 320 / 8 Colour Full Servo

A water bottle sticker printing machine is a roll-to-roll press that prints bottle labels – self-adhesive stickers, wrap-around film labels or shrink sleeves – and delivers them as finished rolls for the labelling line. Because bottled water is a high-volume, low-margin product, the press has to combine multi-colour capability with fast changeover and low waste.

The RK machine is built on the FMS-Nice-P full servo platform. Every printing unit, the die-cutting unit, the infeed and the outfeed have their own servo drives and are controlled from one touch screen. The published configuration has eight colours on a 320 mm web, with a 310 mm print width and 650 mm print length.

Eight Colour Full Servo Flexo Printing

Eight stations cover four-colour process artwork plus spot brand colours, white and varnish in a single pass. Because each station has its own servo motor, colour registration holds across the long runs typical of bottled water labels.

All UV Dryer and Hot Air Dryer on Every Unit

UV inks cure instantly under the all UV dryer system (UV Rays / GEW), and water-based or solvent-based inks dry under hot air. Both are fitted on every unit, so the press runs film labels on UV and paper labels on hot air without a change to the dryer setup.

Chiller Drum on Every Printing Unit

Most water bottle labels are printed on thin BOPP or PVC film. Heat from the dryers can stretch it. The chiller drum after each unit brings the film temperature down so the web stays stable and registration holds.

Automatic Block Position Registration

The plates are positioned electronically at the start of the job. Setup waste drops, and the operator gets to saleable labels sooner – important when the film itself is a large part of the job cost.

Turn Bar, Delam-Relam and Cold Foil / Lamination

The movable turn bar allows back side printing in the same pass. The movable delam-relam unit separates and rejoins layers for multi-layer or promotional labels. The movable cold foil / lamination unit adds metallic effects or a protective laminate inline – useful for premium water brands.

Ultrasonic Web Guide and Load-Cell Tension Control

The unwinding unit uses an imported ultrasonic electronic web guide and an auto electronic tension controller with load cell feedback. The rewinding unit has an electronic tension controller with load cell feedback and an independent motor and drive synchronised with the main drive through an encoder. Thin film runs flat and straight from unwind to rewind.

Online Die Cutting With Waste Matrix Rewinding

The online die-cutting unit cuts the label shape inline and rewinds the waste matrix, so finished label rolls come straight off the press, ready for the labelling machine.

The label stock is loaded on the unwinding unit with the pneumatic loading system. The ultrasonic web guide keeps it centred and the load-cell tension controller holds a steady tension.

The web passes through the eight printing units. At each one a ceramic anilox roller meters ink onto the plate, the plate prints the image, the web passes under the UV lamp or through the hot air dryer, and then over the chiller drum. The turn bar, delam-relam and cold foil / lamination units are brought into the path when the job needs them.

After the last colour, the web enters the online die-cutting unit. The label shape is cut, the waste matrix is stripped and rewound, and the finished label roll winds on the rewinding unit, whose independent motor is synchronised with the main drive through an encoder. The operator runs the whole line from the touch screen.
