01 — What Is It
A printing auxiliary machine is a support machine that works beside a printing or converting machine. It handles one task the main machine does not: rewinding output into a roll, preparing a consumable such as foil, coating adhesive on paper, scoring or perforating sheets, dispensing labels one at a time, or moving a heavy roll.
In a label line these machines fill the gaps between the press, the die cutter, the slitter and the packing table. A barcode printer produces a strip of labels that needs to be rewound. A hot foil stamping machine needs foil rolls cut to the stamping width. A sticker maker needs gum coated on plain paper. A packing bench needs labels peeled ready to apply.

The Auto Rewinder unit rewinds output into a roll under sensor and variable speed motor control. It runs on 230 V AC single phase main power and is built to attach with all types of machine. It suits any printer or converter that produces a web needing to be wound up automatically.

View PageThe RK GM is a sticker paper gum coating machine. It is a 24 inch machine with a 20 inch coating area and a machine length of 32 ft. Two unwinding units take 600 mm reels, one for chromo paper and one for release paper with a web guide unit, and the rewinding unit takes a 600 mm reel. Gum is applied by a master roll type coating unit and dried by a circulating hot air blower system with eighteen 1000 watt heaters. Digital temperature and meter control run the machine, which can be operated from both sides. Output is 20 to 25 metres per minute, driven by 5 HP, 3 HP and 1 HP AC motors, with a 30 HP three phase supply required. The machine is 32 ft long, 7 ft wide and 9 ft high. It suits sticker paper manufacturers making their own self-adhesive stock.

04 — How It Works
Each machine on this page does one job. The Auto Rewinder and Printer Rewinder sit at the output of a printer or converter. A sensor watches the web coming off the machine and the motor winds it onto the core at the matching speed, so the roll builds evenly without pulling on the printer.
The Gumming machine runs a full web path. Chromo paper unwinds from one 600 mm reel and release paper from another, guided by the web guide unit. The master roll coating unit applies gum, the coated web passes through the hot air dryer, the two webs are brought together and the finished sticker paper rewinds on a 600 mm reel at 20 to 25 metres per minute.
The Foil Cutting machine turns a wide foil roll on its 1 HP motor while the operator slices it with the blade cutter at the required width. The Half Cutting machine feeds a 24 inch sheet or web past ten rotary blade guns set at the required positions to half cut, perforate or crease it. The Label Dispenser advances the label roll, peels each label at the edge and stops on the sensor until the operator takes it. The Manual Roll Lifter raises a roll of up to 150 kg to shaft height by hand power.

The Half Cutting machine handles release paper from 40 gsm to 150 gsm at a 24 inch feeding size. The Foil Cutting machine cuts hot foil stamping foil rolls.
