RK PSG 650 PVC Shrink Sleeve Glueing Machine – Shrink Sleeve Seaming Machine up to 650 mm

A PVC shrink sleeve glueing machine converts a flat printed web into a seamed tube. The web is drawn through a forming section that folds it to the sleeve's lay-flat width, adhesive is applied along the overlap, and the seam is pressed and set before the flattened tube is rewound. The tube is later cut to individual sleeves on a machine such as the RK PSC 320.

The PSG 650 handles film widths up to 650 mm and runs from 1 to 120 m/min. Its distinguishing detail is the glue system: a peristaltic pump, driven by a stepper motor, whose flow rate tracks the line speed. Change the speed and the dose changes with it, so the seam gets the same amount of adhesive whether the machine is crawling for setup or running flat out. The adhesive touches nothing but the inside of a replaceable rubber tube, which keeps cleaning down to a tube swap and stops solvent from attacking pump internals.

The peristaltic pump is driven by a stepper motor and its flow range follows the line from 1 to 120 m/min. The seam receives a consistent bead of adhesive at every speed, without the operator adjusting the pump.

Solvent-Safe, Easy-Clean Glue Path

The adhesive only contacts the inside of a replaceable rubber tube. Cleaning is a tube change, and pump internals never see solvent.

650 mm Film Width and 120 m/min

The machine accepts printed PVC shrink film up to 650 mm wide and seams it at up to 120 metres a minute, which suits both narrow bottle sleeves and wide full-body sleeves.

Ultrasonic Edge Guiding on the Unwind

An imported electronic ultrasonic edge scanner guides the web into the forming section. Because it senses the film edge without contact, it works on clear and printed film alike and keeps the overlap in the right place.

Powder Brake Unwind Tension With Load Cell Feedback

The unwind holds rolls to Ø 600 mm on a 3 inch multi-bladder air shaft. A powder brake works against a load cell to keep web tension constant as the roll diameter drops, so the folded tube does not wander.

Cantilever Rewind With Independent Torque Motor

The rewind builds rolls to Ø 700 mm on a 3 inch multi-bladder air shaft, mounted cantilever style. An independent torque motor sets rewind tension, and one operator slides the finished roll off the end without a crane.

1 HP Three Phase Main Motor With VFD

The main drive is a 1 HP three phase motor with a variable frequency drive, giving smooth speed control across the full 1 to 120 m/min range.

The printed PVC shrink film roll is loaded on the 3 inch air shaft of the unwind. The ultrasonic edge scanner picks up the film edge and the powder brake, reading the load cell, sets the web tension. The web is guided into the forming section, where it is folded around to the sleeve's lay-flat width so that one edge overlaps the other by the seam allowance.

As the folded web passes the glue station, the peristaltic pump lays a bead of adhesive down the overlap. Because the pump is driven by a stepper motor tied to line speed, the bead is the same size at 10 m/min as at 120. The seam is pressed closed and the sealed, flattened tube travels to the cantilever rewind, where the independent torque motor winds it onto a 3 inch shaft up to Ø 700 mm. The operator slides the finished roll off the open end and it goes to the cutting machine.
