RK TS-500 POS Roll Slitting Machine With One Colour Printing

It is a POS roll making machine that converts jumbo thermal paper reels into finished, printed POS and billing rolls. The unwinding unit is built for heavy jumbos – a 3" air shaft, drum type mechanical brake tension control and an air pneumatic loading system so the operator does not lift the reel by hand.

The one colour flexo printing unit has a hot air dryer, an individual motorised anilox roll system. Printing pressure does not need to be set for every job, and the quick change printing cylinder makes job change fast. Slitting is by a rotary blade cutting system with top and bottom cutters – ten sets supplied – with an air blower for trim. An automatic ink marking system with ink rubber roll marks the end of each roll. The machine runs on a 2 HP three phase motor with a Schneider VFD under a Schneider PLC, with a meter counter and auto stop, and handles thermal paper up to 100 GSM.

One Colour Flexo Printing With Hot Air Dryer

Logos, messages and promotional prints are added to the thermal paper as it passes through the machine, and dried by hot air before slitting. No second pass, no separate printing machine.

Automatic Ink Marking

An ink rubber roll marks the paper automatically so the customer's printer shows the end-of-roll warning stripe, a standard requirement for POS rolls.

A Schneider PLC controls the machine, the 2 HP three phase motor runs on a Schneider VFD, and the meter counter with auto stop delivers rolls of exact length.

Three Core Sizes for POS Rolls

Manual rewinding shafts for 13 mm, 19 mm and 25.4 mm cores – three of each – cover the common POS, ATM and billing roll core sizes.

The jumbo thermal reel is lifted onto the 3" air shaft by the pneumatic loading system and the drum type brake sets unwind tension. The web enters the flexo printing unit, where the motorised anilox meters ink onto the printing cylinder and the print is applied to the paper; the hot air dryer sets it immediately. For repeat jobs, the operator simply swaps the quick change cylinder.

The printed web passes the automatic ink marking roll, which lays the end-of-roll stripe, and then the rotary blade cutting system, where top and bottom cutters slit it into POS roll widths and the air blower removes the edge trim. The slit strips wind on the manual rewinding shafts on 13 mm, 19 mm or 25.4 mm cores up to 200 mm diameter. The Schneider PLC and meter counter stop the machine when each set of rolls reaches the set length.
