RK F 320 / 6 Colour Flexo Rotary Label Printing Machine With IR Lamp Hot Air System

The RK F 320 / 6 Colour is a vertical tower flexographic press: six printing units stacked one above the other, with drying between each colour, and die cutting, lamination and rewinding at the base. Each unit uses a ceramic anilox roller with an individual motorized anilox system, 360° unit regulation and a dial gauge for registration. A 5 HP AC variable speed main drive runs the line.

Compared with the five colour version, the sixth unit adds room for a second spot colour, a varnish or a white under-print – the extra colour that many pharma, cosmetic and food labels need.

IR Lamp Hot Air Dryers on All Units, One UV With Upgrade Facility

Every unit has an IR lamp based hot air dryer. One UV dryer unit is fitted as standard – typically used for a UV varnish or the last colour – and the machine can be upgraded to all UV drying. The individual dryer window system lets the operator check and adjust drying at each colour.

Online Rotary Die Cutting With Waste Matrix Rewinding

The label shape is cut inline and the waste matrix is rewound, so finished label rolls come straight off the machine.

Lamination Unit and Turn Bar

The lamination unit applies a protective or gloss laminate inline; the turn bar allows back side printing in the same pass.

Ultrasonic Web Guide and Load-Cell Tension Control

The unwinding unit carries an imported ultrasonic electronic web guide, a splicing table and paper holder for paper joining, and an imported auto electronic tension controller with load cell feedback. The rewinding unit has the same tension control.

Individual Motorized Anilox and Dial Gauge Registration

Each printing unit has its own motorized anilox roll system, adopts 360° regulation and carries a dial gauge for printing registration.

The label roll (up to 600 mm diameter) is loaded on the unwinding unit, centred by the ultrasonic web guide and held at a steady tension by the load-cell tension controller.

The web climbs the tower through the six printing units. At each unit a ceramic anilox roller meters ink onto the plate, the plate prints the image, and the web passes through that unit's IR hot air dryer – or the UV dryer where fitted – before entering the next colour. The turn bar flips the web for back side printing when required, and the lamination unit applies laminate after the last colour.

The web then comes down into the online rotary die-cutting unit, where the label shape is cut and the waste matrix is stripped and rewound. Finished label rolls wind on the rewinding unit (up to 450 mm diameter) under their own tension control. Speed is set on the variable speed drive and registration is trimmed with the dial gauges.

The RK F 320 runs the self-adhesive label stock and paper, within a 320 mm paper width. Anilox rollers and printing cylinders are supplied to your requirement, so share your actual materials and artwork with RK before the specification is fixed.
