RK F 320 / 3 Colour Flexo Rotary Label Printing Machine With IR Lamp Hot Air System

The RK F 320 / 3 Colour is a compact tower type flexographic press with three stacked printing units, drying between each colour, and two rotary die-cutting units at the delivery end. Each printing unit uses a ceramic anilox roller with an individual motorized anilox system, 360° unit regulation and a dial gauge for registration. A 3 HP AC variable speed main drive runs the line.

What sets it apart from the 5 and 6 colour versions is the delivery: instead of only rewinding finished label rolls, it can also sheet-cut the printed web and deliver sheets on a short conveyor. That makes it useful for tags, sheet-fed labels and cut blanks as well as roll labels.

Three Colour Flexo Printing in a Low-Height Tower

Three stacked printing units cover logo, text and one or two spot colours. At 5.5 ft high, the tower fits under a normal factory ceiling.

IR Lamp Hot Air Dryers on All Units

Each unit has an IR lamp based hot air dryer, with an individual dryer window so the operator can check drying at each colour. A UV dryer is available as an extra option.

Two Rotary Die-Cutting Units With Short Conveyor

The first rotary unit cuts the label shape; the second sheet-cuts, with a short conveyor belt drive system carrying the sheets out. Roll labels and sheet output from one machine.

Lamination Unit

A lamination unit applies a protective or gloss laminate inline for labels that need durability.

Ultrasonic Web Guide and Electronic Tension Control

The unwinding unit carries an imported ultrasonic electronic web guide, a splicing table and paper holder for paper joining, and an imported auto electronic tension controller. The rewinding unit uses a tension controller with mechanical clutch system.

Low Power Consumption

The whole machine draws 5.5 HP on 3 phase, with a 3 HP main motor – a real saving on running cost for a press that runs all day.

The label roll (up to 600 mm diameter) is loaded on the unwinding unit, centred by the ultrasonic web guide and held at a steady tension by the electronic tension controller.

The web passes through the three printing units. At each unit a ceramic anilox roller meters ink onto the plate, the plate prints the image, and the web passes through that unit's IR hot air dryer before the next colour. The lamination unit applies laminate after the last colour where the job needs it.

The web then enters the two rotary die-cutting units. The first cuts the label shape for roll output, which winds on the rewinding unit (up to 450 mm diameter). For sheet jobs, the second unit sheet-cuts the web and the short conveyor carries the sheets out. Speed is set on the variable speed drive and registration is trimmed with the dial gauges at each unit.

The RK F 320 runs the self-adhesive label stock and paper, within a 320 mm paper width. Anilox rollers and printing cylinders are supplied to your requirement, so share your actual materials and artwork with RK before the specification is fixed.
