Fireworks Sticker Printing, Embossing and Full Cut Machine – RK F 320/3 Colour

It is a three colour flexo rotary label printing machine with two rotary die cutting units and a conveyor belt system, built as a vertical tower flexo press on RK's 320 mm tower design. The first rotary die unit carries an embossing tool and the second carries a full cutting die; a short conveyor belt drive carries the cut stickers out of the machine onto a long conveyor trolley for collection.

The unwinding unit takes rolls up to 600 mm diameter on a 3" air shaft, with an imported ultrasonic pivot type electronic web guide, a splicing table and paper holder for joining rolls, and an imported auto electronic tension controller. Each printing unit has its own motorised anilox roll and can be rotated through 360 degrees for regulation, with a dial gauge for print registration. A 3 HP three phase AC drive with a Schneider VFD powers the line; total power consumption is 5.5 HP three phase.

Three Colour Flexo Printing With IR and Hot Air Drying

Three printing units, each with its own ceramic anilox roller and an IR lamp based hot air dryer, print bright multi colour sticker artwork and dry it before embossing and cutting. Individual IR and UV dryer window systems are fitted per unit.

Embossing and Full Cut on Two Rotary Die Units

The first rotary die unit embosses the sticker; the second full cuts it right through. Both run in register with the print, so the raised area and the cut edge land exactly where the artwork intends.

Conveyor Belt Delivery With Long Collection Trolley

Full cut stickers cannot be rewound, so the machine uses a short conveyor belt drive to carry them out of the die unit and a long conveyor trolley to collect them in order for packing.

Imported Ultrasonic Web Guide and Tension Control

A pivot type electronic web guide with an imported ultrasonic sensor keeps the web tracking straight, and an imported auto electronic tension controller holds unwind tension steady for clean registration.

Individual Motorised Anilox and 360 Degree Unit Adjustment

Each printing unit has its own motorised anilox roll system and can be adjusted through 360 degrees, with a dial gauge for printing registration.

Splicing Table for Roll Changes

A splicing table and paper holder let the operator join a new roll to the running web without rethreading the machine.

Schneider VFD Speed Control

The 3 HP three phase AC main motor is controlled by a Schneider variable frequency drive, giving smooth speed control up to 50 m/min.

The sticker paper roll is loaded on the unwinding unit on a 3" air shaft. The ultrasonic web guide keeps the web centred and the electronic tension controller holds it at a steady pull as it climbs the tower. At each of the three printing units the motorised anilox roller meters ink onto the printing cylinder, which prints its colour on the web, and the IR lamp hot air dryer sets the ink before the next colour. The operator trims registration between colours with the dial gauge.

After the third colour the web passes through the first rotary die unit, where the embossing tool raises the design. It then enters the second rotary die unit, where the full cutting die cuts the sticker completely out of the web. The short conveyor belt carries the cut stickers onto the long conveyor trolley, where they stack in sequence for counting and packing. Any waste web is taken up on the rewinding unit, which holds up to 450 mm diameter with a mechanical clutch tension controller.

The machine is designed for sticker paper and label stock up to 320 mm wide that can be embossed and full cut – typically chromo paper, art paper and gummed or self-adhesive sticker paper in the weights used for fireworks labels.
